Filmlab Systems International Joins The RTI Film Group
Lincolnwood, Ill. - May 17, 2007 - Research Technology International (RTI) announced the acquisition of Filmlab Systems International (FSI) of Stokenchurch, England.
FSI is a leading manufacturer of motion picture laboratory equipment, including the Colormaster film color grading and timing machine. FSI has installed equipment at hundreds of motion picture laboratories, postproduction facilities and film archives, throughout the world. FSI has been established for over 20 years, manufacturing and supporting its specialized products out of its base in the UK.
RTI is the world's leading manufacturer of motion picture laboratory equipment. Its subsidiaries include Lipsner Smith, BHP Printers, Calder and Treise processors. FSI is an ideal fit with those product lines, and it enables RTI to offer its customers a complete
range of major laboratory equipment, all manufactured and developed under one company. FSI has a fine reputation amongst its many users, and joining RTI will provide FSI with the resources it needs to enhance and increase new product development and provide even greater worldwide after sales support coverage.
FSI will continue to manufacture its existing product range in Stokenchurch, England, and will be part of RTI's European operation, RTI UK Ltd. FSI will continue to operate under the direction of it's current manager, David McLelland with its existing employees. The acquisition of FSI gives RTI an opportunity to boost its engineering and development resources.
