- V5000: High Energy Conveyor Degausser
- The V5000 high power conveyor degausser erases 1500 oe metal cassettes to –75 dB and all oxide media to – 90 dB. Two separate coils placed above and below the media generates a field in excess of 4000 gauss which guarantees a complete and efficient erasure.
The wide conveyor belt also allows for the erasing of most types of metal and oxide tape formats to suit broadcast and data storage users.
The V5000 conveyor belt is controlled by an electric eye. When the main power is switched ON, the unit will go into standby mode, indicated by a warning light on the control panel. When a tape is placed on the belt, the degausser coils will energise and conveyor belt will transport the tape through the high powered erasure field.
The unit will automatically return to standby after six seconds if no further degaussing is required.
