Dispelling the Myth About Dual Disc Machines

"We love our new RTI Eco Auto Smart disc repair machine. It is a dream compared to our previous disc repair machine!

Even though our previous machine from another company could “repair” 2 discs at once, it ended up ruining more discs than it fixed and was quite noisy and very messy. The polycool solution it used left white, powdery residue all over both the discs and the user.

We had problems with that machine from the moment we got it. Even when the discs came out of the cycle looking cleaned, shiny, and “fixed”, there were numerous incidents when they would not play and would have to be withdrawn from the library collection. For some reason the machine would remove the scratches, but render the discs unplayable. That machine often fused white residue from the polycool solution to the disc surface rendering the discs useless. The residue would not come off, no matter how many times it was run through that machine or how you tried to clean it by hand.

When we complained to the company, their lack of support was disheartening and we felt that we had spent a lot of money on a machine that we could not trust to maintain our library’s disc collection. It got to the point where we were reluctant to use it at all because it was damaging so many discs. We only had that machine for one year, but decided the best solution to our problem would be to get rid of it and go with a different company.

That’s where our new RTI Eco Auto Smart comes into the picture. The RTI Company offered to accept our previous machine as trade-in on an Eco Auto Smart machine. We have had it only a couple of months and are already ecstatic with the results we have been getting. We were actually able to remove the white residue from the discs that RTI’s competitor ruined in just one try!

Setting up and using the RTI is quick and easy. The machine is also very quiet. It is very easy to use, and clean-up is quick and simple. Once the machine is set up and primed, all you have to do is put in a disc and push a button. The machine goes through the cycles automatically, stops by itself, and even opens the door for you when it is finished. The discs come out repaired, clean, shiny and dry and ready to be put back in their cases. No additional wiping or cleaning is needed.

Even though it only cleans one disc at a time, we can repair more discs in the same amount of time than we could with our old machine because we don’t have to hand clean and wipe the discs at the end of the cycle anymore.

Based on our experience and the results we have been getting, we would highly recommend the RTI Eco Auto Smart for repairing scratched discs."
