Lithuanian Central State Archive selects CIR D-Observer
"Lithuanian Central State Archive (LCSA) is the main repository of film heritage in Lithuania . For a long time LCSA had to work with very old, even obsolete technical equipment for film handling.
This year the Archive implemented a national film digitising project funded by the EU . This made it possible to acquire new equipment. The Archive was able to purchase several film quality inspection tables --CIR D-Observer version Cat.Cine 3, Cat.Cine 6Cs and the CIR D-Observer FSC HDT version Cat. Cine 8.
The Cine 8 takes a particularly special place in the daily archival work. It meets all the archives requirements for film inspection of both 16 mm and 35 mm films , even including the old ones that are in very poor physical condition.
CIR's special optional software (EZ ARCHIVE) is especially useful, not only for the operator, giving the possibility to quickly and easily describe any encountered defect, but for editing of a report during the film analysis phase, allowing the operator to digitally store an image of any encountered problem.
Thanks to this equipment, the operator’s daily work results in a very efficient, qualitative and professional job ."
