Lithuanian Central State Archive Chooses Lipsner-Smith CF-9220 Ultrasonic Film Cleaner
Lithuanian Central State Archive implementing film digitising project met a challenge -the need to clean film tapes before scanning. It was a very important part in the process of preparing archival film material for scanning. So a new Generation Ultrasonic Film Cleaner from Lipsner-Smith CF – 9220 was selected by the Archive. Having some practical experience in working with this machine we are sure: first of all this is the people and environmentally friendly, easy to operate, safe, and quiet in operation.
This machine is a very helpful and even indispensable for preparing film tapes for scanning. It is especially valuable for its ability to clean archival film material. It safely handles archival film material nitrates, camera originals, negatives or prints both 35 mm and 16 mm.
Due to this equipment we have got our film tapes - most valuable negatives and prints - carefully and safely cleaned with comparatively low solvent consumption and with very low time consumption as the machine works very effectively and speedily.
