Filmlab Systems International Joins RTI Film Group.
Research Technology International (RTI) announced the acquisition of Filmlab Systems International (FSI) of Stokenchurch, England. FSI is a leading manufacturer of motion picture laboratory equipment, including the Colormaster film color grading and timing machine. FSI has installed equipment at hundreds of motion picture laboratories, postproduction facilities and film archives, throughout the world.

RTI Group Receives Major Contract Award for Motion Picture Film Equipment
From Library of Congress.

The motion picture film equipment companies of the RTI Group announced that a major contract has been received to supply eight film developing systems, eight CPAC silver recovery devices and various consultancy and ancillary services to the new Library of Congress National Audio-Visual Conservation Center's film preservation laboratory project in Culpepper, Virginia.

The RTI Group, a leading manufacturer of professional products for the motion picture, videotape and optical disc industries, today announced that it will acquire San Fernando, Calif.-based Treise Engineering, a respected industry designer and manufacturer of motion picture film processors.

Special " - 2.5% " Wet Printing Head for Copying Shrunken Archival Films
Recently BHP Inc., the leading maker of professional motion picture film printing systems, has undertaken the development of a 35mm wet printing head for restoration applications. This head is designed for use on films that have shrunk as much as 2.5%. With this head, the difference between the original film’s sprocket hole spacing and that of the raw film stock is cancelled out.
