Estonian Film Archive chooses CIR D-Observer Table
EFA was already a very satisfied owner of a Lipsner-Smith Excel Non-Immersion Film Cleaner with back-up support and service. So when it came to needing a new film inspection table, Mrs. Ivy Tomingas, Director of the Estonian film archive, was happy to continue her support of RTI Film Group products and purchased a CIR D-observer table.
After some years of good use and success with this table, the requirement to work with smaller formats came to the forefront. Because of its great flexibility and cost effectiveness it was possible to add the ability to handle smaller formats to the existing D-observer table, thus making it a highly efficient solution for the Estonian film archive.
Mrs. Tomingas said:
"The need to work with small formats is a very important part of the remit of a national film archive. Being able to add this functionality to our D-observer table as an economical upgrade was very important for us. It meant we were able to continue our progress on smaller formats, and enabled the further expansion of our search for small format material in need of restoration and safe archival, to private archives around our country".
Also Mrs Tomingas, a happy user of CIR splicers, is pleased to recommend RTI/CIR products to other archives.
